Motherly Intercession's Programs
We provide a wide range of programs for children, and incarcerated parents. Please see Parent or Caregiver page for more information. Motherly Intercession is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in Flint and Genesee County Michigan. Your donation at any level will help to "Unlock the Future" for the young, innocent children whose lives has been negatively impacted by their mother or father's incarceration. Motherly Intercession's main priority are the children of incarcerated parents. There are a number of programs for the children to part take in.

Parents Services In TheGenesee County Jail Motherly Intercession provides multiple services to parents that are incarcerated.

Caregivers / Parents Services Motherly Intercession's SIF is an Empirically Validated program that provide multiple program components and services designed to empower male and female adults with the tools they need to reduce incarceration related STRESS and build the resiliency they need to meet the daily challenges in their lives.

Summary
After School Program
During the school year children are given a place to go two times a week after school. The program currently has 50 children, but is hoping to expand very soon. The program is split into two groups of 25 children. There are tutors available to tutor the children, meals and van transportation are provided. |
Summer Camp Program
Summer Day Camp is provided for children during the out of school time. The summer camp focuses on academics in the morning, and also creates team building activities to help the children grow. Field trips and "fun days" are a significant part of the summer curriculum. |
N-Touch Ready to Work and Job and Life Skills Program The N-Touch program is for youth (13 and older) who are currently in the program, or have been through the program. These youth meet twice a month to discuss job and life skills, building a resume, how to communicate, how to perform a strong hand shake, interpersonal skills, etc. This program also provides academic support to improve their grades, and maintain good grades, in order to stay "employed" with the program. The students have the opportunity to apply for a Peer Mentor staff position, to work with the RACS+ children. |
